Lotting priority is based upon a bidding system. All events in Asgard are optional. For each event you attend there is a set amount of points you will gain that you may use in your bidding. In the end you end up deciding how much an item means to you.
Points are recorded on this website. Any registered member has access to the members and points records at any time they choose to look at them. It is to be noted that you receive the same amount of points for your personal point bank and the LS payout, however your LS payout points reset each time you are paid. The LS Bank points are NOT subtracted from your personal point bank. Yes, this means you can get both items and gil.
When an item drops the typical way it will be handled is as follows;
A leader will tell the shell that the item is open for bid for those who can wear the item. From here if there are bids people can bid against each other until there is only one bidder remaining. If no one bids when this is called a leader will say the item is open for bid for those who can not yet wear the item. If still there are no bidders then the item will go free lot. You may only bid as many points as you have. You can not go into negative.
For example let’s say we have just killed Behemoth and the Behemoth’s tongue drops. It is called to bid for those who have the job and no one bids. When it is called to those who want to bid that do not have the right job (for the purpose of this example) both Judaine and I raise our hands. Judaine bids 5 points and I bid 10. He bids 15. I bid 17. He bids 21 points, and I decide that the item isn’t worth more then that for me, so I stop bidding and let Judaine have the item. Judaine gets to lot and is subtracted the 21 points for the item.
On this note it is against the rules to purposely and maliciously try to raise the price of points for someone. This is against the rules and is a punishable act. There will also be no take backs. You can not suddenly decide that you do not want something after you have placed a bid.
The point awards are as follows…
HNM Camp ~ 1 point per window attended.
Claiming an HNM ~ 1 bonus point awarded.
Other Events (Sea, Sky, ZNM, etc.) ~ 1 point awarded per hour attended.
Getting a TOD for shell ~ New TODs given to shell that we can use/need are awarded by 3 points. If you go out by yourself to get the TOD for an NM that we currently have when no one is online to get it and we would otherwise lose TOD you are awarded 1 bonus point for getting the TOD + the additional points received for each window.
